Bruins start the season breaking records

Over the last few years, the Boston Bruins have been in the conversation for going deep into the playoffs and they have had some very good starts to the last few seasons. But none of their starts or any other team's starts have ever been quite like the first 22 games of this season.

The Bruins have not only been dominating very good teams like the Tampa Bay Lightning and the Florida Panthers but they also have the most points in the NHL right now. With only three losses in their first 22 games, they have the most wins and least amount of losses in the NHL, even more than the New Jersey Devils who went on a 13-game winning streak earlier in the season.

Even with the two extra games played over the Bruins, the Devils have the same amount of wins as the Bruins and only one more point due to having an overtime loss.

The Devils 13 game winning streak is one of the longest in NHL history only topped by teams like the 1929 Bruins, 1970 Bruins, and the 2009 Washington Capitals to name a few. These teams are known to be some of the best teams that were ever assembled and yet the bruins have looked just as dominant if not a little bit better than the Devils that are competing with these legendary teams.

On top of everything else, the Bruins are undefeated at home as of December 2 with a record of thirteen and zero. They have stumped every team to come to the Garden and have done it with impressive dominance. It will be interesting to see if they can secure their fourteenth win at home on December fourth against the Colorado Avalanche to tie the streak they had in the 2009 season.

The Avalanche are not quite as dominant as they have been in recent years but they are by no means a bad team, with their thirteen wins and 27 points they are in third place in the Central Division. But by all means, the Bruins should be able to win this game with dominance.

But on top of everything else the Bruin's home record is not only very impressive but it is also the best home start in NHL history.

Not only are they breaking scoring records, but they have had the best home start ever and if that's not special then I don’t know what is.
