It’s difficult to find inspiration or motivation to dress up during quarantine. However, it’s important to remember that presenting yourself well, even if it’s only in front of a few people or even just yourself, can have a dramatic effect on your confidence and self-love.
Keep your looks trendy while also staying comfortable at home by diving into D.I.Y clothing. Creating D.I.Y. clothing can give you something fun to do while also making you feel productive.
Many patterns have become trendy during the past few months. One that came back most recently is tie-dye. A good thing about this pattern is that it’s also very common for girls to D.I.Y. their own tie-dye clothing. Whether it’s with dye or with bleach, the results almost always turn out good.
Like tie-dye, cropping your clothes is an easy way to turn old clothing you don’t wear that much into trendy clothing you will wear more often. You can crop old jeans, a sweatshirt, an oversized t-shirt, basically anything.
Another fun way to change up clothing you may not like as much anymore is to paint it, or glue things to it. Painting your clothes is both fun and usually turns out wonderfully, especially because it’s your own art and your own creation.
What should be taken from this is that anyone can be a clothing designer with a couple of household items. Don’t worry about missing out on clothing trends, because most of them can be followed right at home. Also, feel free to create your own trends using items at home.
