Attention, drama and crime show lovers: Netflix has come out with a new series called "The Lincoln Lawyer." The story is taken right from the book series by Michael Connelly and has now been made to portray the story on a TV screen. It's a mix of suspenseful, exciting, and intense moments that can both frustrate you and captivate you at the same time.

The show has one season following the court case of the defense of a man named Trevor Elliot accused of murdering his wife and her mistress. However, the accused is not the only one with an exciting story. His defense attorney Mickey Haller played by Manuel Garcia- Rulfo has his own whirlwind life story with ups and downs to tell along the way.

Mickey Haller has to juggle his addiction, two divorced wives, Lorna Crain and Maggie McPherson, who are played by Becki Newton and Neve Campbell, his daughter, his guilty conscience, and his current case where he is forced to do things that goes against his morals.

Although all of these qualities are in movies and TV shows just like this. It could be justified as a legal thriller-drama series but at some moments there is not as much excitement as it could be. Are there twists and turns along the way that you do not see coming? Sure, but it doesn't really compete with the other legal thrillers out there that have more to offer.

Despite these disappointing factors that does not mean that it is not a good sit-down show to watch. Overall, it is an excellent show to watch when you are in the mood for a show that you can laugh at and still get excited over what is coming next. It does an exceptional job at captivating its main target audience who love to guess what is going to happen next or what their predictions are for the future.
