How to play the trumpet the "right" way

There are many ways that people believe that they know how to play the trumpet, but they are all wrong. This article will help show you the only true way to play the trumpet, and how to become a great trumpet player like Louis Armstrong, Arturo Sandoval, or Miles Davis.
The first step to becoming a trumpet player is to believe that you are the best player and best instrument in the band and that the trumpet is the superior instrument and should always be heard even if the music says otherwise. With this first step, you would be ahead of the other trumpet players.
The second thing that you need to know is to buy the trumpet that you would play throughout your career until you betray the original trumpet’s loyalty and buy a new one for the purpose of it being newer and shiny.
When you start to play the trumpet you need to be able to play louder and prouder over the other instruments. This will help your section by allowing the others to hear you and let them know that they are not better than the trumpet section.
You also need to clean and maintain your instrument because why would you not take care of your instrument, you monster? The first thing that you need to do is if the valve gets stuck, remember that it's not your fault; it's the trumpet's fault for not telling you that it needs some valve oil. To know that you have enough valve oil is when somehow you get the whole trumpet soaked in it. You also need to disassemble the whole trumpet to be able to clean it with water, just water.
With time and minimal practice, you will become the best in the band. And with that time you should be offered a solo. The reason why you would get a solo over everyone else is because, it is a fact that the trumpet is the better sounding instrument in the band.
Since the trumpet is god's instrument, you also need to fight and argue with your band director about trumpets getting the melody instead of the squeaky woodwinds who are called alto saxophones, because who would want a squeaky saxophone when you could hear the triumphant sound of trumpets .
One tip that you should know when you start playing is that you should use your hand to tap in the mouthpiece to get a great seal.
You should remember that the more dented harmonic mutes are better, and will enhance the mutes' power to play and the better sound you will get from it. But not all mutes are created equally and some try to silence the trumpet, so you should try to avoid these.
And if you find playing the higher register on your trumpet difficult, you should relax your poster, and recline in your chair to maximize the comfort. This will help you get up to the upper register and impress the others with a C8 and make your band director question why he makes you sit with a good posture . Besides, why put yourself in discomfort while playing?
There are many different paths and different music you can play, for example, jazz ensemble/jazz band, marching band, classical, ect.
If you choose jazz as your next path you need to learn to improvise. Improvising is not that difficult because you might remember when you first started that you played wrong notes, and you can consider that as improvising. Now you should be a pro at it and be able to create new solos on the spot.
If you choose to become a trumpet player in a marching band, it would be similar to what a regular band is but you would play faster, because it is a march, and you get to walk. And who wouldn’t want to walk and play at the same time. And the only thing you need to remember is that you are the best and that trumpets are better than whatever instruments are in the marching band even if they are in the brass family.
But if you decide to choose classical, you should stop playing the instrument altogether. And re-evaluate your decisions as a trumpet player.
When you follow all of these steps to heart you should be the best trumpet player and rivaling in skill with the greatest of all time and you would be known as one of the greats.
