The critically acclaimed Netflix series “Squid Game” was released on September 17 and has gained a lot of hype since its release.

The show is rated 94% on Rotten Tomatoes and an 8/10 on IMDb, which must have caught the eye of many people due to its high ratings. This show definitely deserved all the hype and attention it received.

The show revolves around the main character Seong who is a contestant on the Squid Game and is brought to a remote island to play games against hundreds of other contestants with all of their lives being at stake. These players all share the same routine while they stay on the island and all fight for a large cash prize. Through this, we are able to see what Seong personally experiences and the decisions he makes to survive.

My favorite part about this show is that the raw emotion shown by the characters is amazing and at times even horrifying. The character development throughout this series is nearly perfect. The darkest part of human nature is brought and shown to its limits adding so much tension to the show as well as the way they show how far a human being will go and what violent acts they will commit in order to get what they want.

The raw violence and gore added by the show producers are also another great addition. It is very panic-inducing as we watch characters struggle their way through the games fighting for their own lives in order to survive and obtain the cash prize.

There is so much suspense implemented in this show as well. Every episode left me with questions or something to think about, leaving the viewer with so much curiosity it’s almost as if you must watch the next episode after finishing one. There is so much to figure out and many identities that we just wait for to be revealed.

I believe this show will appeal to almost everyone who watches it, except for younger children of course, because there are just so many details added in the show that will stand out and catch the average viewer’s attention. Watch the show currently streaming on Netflix.
