This Friday, January 20 our Norwood Mustangs are going to face off against the Dedham Marauders.

Dedham is a rival for the Mustangs this year as the entire new coaching staff are ex-veterans from the Dedham side. The team is excited to blow them out of the water and continue their winning streak plus add a win to their eight wins and two-losses record. This record is also better than the Dedham record with six wins to three losses.

Sophomore Brian Dearborn is excited for the game.

“I’m excited to get them out of the way and play as hard as I can,” he said.

Junior captain Mathew Mahoney is also excited to play hard and win

“Our coach was a coach for Dedham for twenty years and I’m sure they're going to come fired up but we are ready to beat them and we wanna beat them for him especially,” he said.

Another junior on varsity, Owen Desharnais, is already thinking about the game and possible ways Dedham may react to our Mustangs.

"It’s gonna be a really good game. They’re a good team. They are definitely gonna play harder than they usually do, and take it a lot more seriously on defense, especially guarding Noah a lot tighter. But I think we can make adjustments and win," he said.

The boys are rallying on Friday, January 20 at 7 PM in own home gym.  Remember to pack the barn and cheer loud. Go Mustangs!
