This article serves as a continuation of the first edition of my pizza review column.  Dive in, and discover what Crushed Peppers has in store for you.

When I entered the restaurant I was met at the front counter graciously and was politely asked for my order.

I was almost immediately captivated by the savory aroma of fresh pizza that flowed freely throughout the establishment. This definitely immediately heightened the experience.

I ordered a large cheese pizza which was valued at a reasonable $12.99.

After ordering I selected a grape soda from their very diverse but picked- through selection of sodas, juices, and water.

The establishment had quite an interesting layout with a colorful arrangement of tables and chairs located up a flight of stairs that overlook the restaurant which does provide an interesting perspective as you can look down and see your pizza being made. (It should be noted the stairs are rather steep so for any person who has difficulty climbing stairs, seating is limited to a high-top table near the entrance.)

I waited roughly about 10 to 15 minutes for my pizza to arrive which was brought up to me, an appreciated and kind gesture.

When the pizza arrived the same entrancing perfume of delicious pizza migrated from the pizza to my nose.

I was impressed immediately with how good the pizza looked, especially with the absence of any air bubbles. It was a clear and beautiful-looking pizza.

I must also include that it was not overly greasy, which is often a worry of mine when it comes to pizza.

Now it was time. I carefully selected a slice of pizza that pulled easily from the pizza as it was cut perfectly.

I plunged the pizza into my mouth and was met with happiness.

The cheese was the highlight of the pizza. The flavor was amazing and combined with the sauce, it was a dynamic duo.

The crust was amazing it was a mix of softness with just the slightest hint of a crunch.

The pizza was overall amazing and I would give it a most solid 8.9/10.

I think the picked-through drink selection and the lack of access to a bathroom did take away from the experience. Whilst the pizza was incredibly good and I would get it again almost instantaneously I do wonder if the pizza would be improved by having a little more sauce to help support the cheese and sauce dynamic duo. I would say this simply because the best bites I took were the ones when the sauce showed through a little more.

Crushed Peppers is a pizza place I would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a delicious bite to eat.

Crushed Peppers is located at 20 Broadway St. in Norwood.

So try it out and form your own opinion, and stay tuned for the next review as you never know if it will "top" this one.

Get it, "top?" It's a pizza joke.
