The big yum: Red Robin

Finding a good restaurant that the whole family agrees to go to can be a struggle at times. If you are a part of a family that loves burger places I think I could make your search for the perfect family dinner quicker.

Red Robin was originally established in 1969 in Seattle, WA. It has now spread to different places in the states including Massachusetts. Red Robin is known for their wide variety of burgers.

For the appetizer, I ordered wingless buffalo wings with blue cheese. The wings had a nice spice to them; not too strong but I didn't expect them to be so dry. Usually, buffalo wings have some kind of runny sauce texture on them but it wasn't like that here. The blue cheese also came as little blocks of cheese instead of the dressing. I prefer the saucy dressing and was a bit disappointed. If they would have added more of the blue cheese bits it might have saved it, but there was so little for quite a few wings. I wouldn't recommend it to any spicy food or wing lover.

My drinks arrived at the same time as my wings. I could not decide on what to get so I tried two of their lemonades.

This is the peach lemonade. It was beyond sweet. It had a peach flavored but also could pass as mango which really threw me off. At first, I thought they gave me the wrong drink and accidentally gave me a mango lemonade, but they don't even have that flavor. I would taste the syrup they use more than the lemony flavor it's supposed to have. I chose the peach, but it's still lemonade and it just felt like I was drinking a super-strong peach juice. I liked that it was sweet, but I would have preferred it if it was less sweet. I couldn't even finish it because of how strong the syrup was.

The wait wasn't too long for my food to come in. It was around a 15-minute wait and they had a full house quite impressively.

I ordered the veggie burger with a side of fries. This is honestly one of the best burgers I have ever eaten in my entire life. The meat was so nice and juicy but still cooked so well. It had a ton of lettuce which was mixed with so much sauce and I loved every bite of it. It had fresh pieces of avocado. I love avocado so it was such a plus for me. If you want to take your tongue on a journey of happiness, I would recommend the veggie burger 10 times over.

My second drink was the freckled lemonade. It's a strawberry lemonade with actual strawberries in it. It is also topped with a slice of lemon. It was a bit more sour than sweet. The strawberry syrup they put in there made the sweetness feel existing, but only a little. The lemon for sure overpowered it, especially after you squeeze your lemon slice in it.

I truly enjoyed this drink so much. It was really refreshing and I felt like it really did help cool my thirst every time I drank some. And even after you are done drinking all the lemonade there is still more to enjoy. The strawberries that were in it were some of the best I've ever had. They were so sweet and juicy. They were also a pretty good size. This is my favorite new drink.

Lastly for my dessert I got their gooey chocolate brownie cake. I absolutely love desserts so I had high expectations for this one and it honestly came pretty close to being something I would get every time.

It was a small brownie sponge cake with vanilla ice cream on top with chocolate drizzle, and it came with a side of strawberry puree.

The ice cream had such a rich vanilla flavor. It's my favorite type of ice cream so I was delighted when I tasted it. The brownie was so spongy and soft inside but with a bit of a harder outer crust.

The only thing I can say would have made it better if it was a bit less dry. It wasn't an overwhelming dryness, but after a bit I felt like I could feel it getting more dry in my mouth. The chocolate drizzle helped with that a bit though. It gave it some extra chocolatey flavor.

I ate the strawberry puree by itself and it tasted alright. I wasn't a big fan of it so I chose not to add it to the brownie.
