“Wednesday” is a murder mystery series streaming now on Netflix that focuses on a childhood character many know and love, Wednesday Addams. This is one of the top shows trending at the moment and people are talking about it left and right.

The highly praised show is directed by Tim Burton and is available to watch on the streaming platform Netflix. The anticipated second season will be coming out sometime in the next year and everyone is dying for it to come out since the first season ended on a cliffhanger.

This show contains 8 episodes with a time range of 45 to 60 minutes long. In the title of every episode, the producers of the show cleverly snuck the word “woe” somewhere in the title.

In the show, there is a love triangle between Wednesday Addams, Xavier Thorpe, a psychic student, and Tyler, a normie and the Jericho sheriff’s son. One of the most controversial topics for fans is who Wednesday's significant other should be.

Should it be Tyler or Xavier? I asked three freshmen what they thought and who the superior couple was.

“ Team Tyler because he and Wednesday have a lot of chemistry and he was actually nice to her while Xavier got mad at her,” said Freshman Ayla McCahon.

Sylvie Deeks had a similar opinion.

“Tyler probably because okay he is the monster but they have better chemistry,” said Deeks.

For others, Wednesday’s quirky beekeeper friend Eugene Ottinger stole their hearts.

“I am neither team Tyler or team Xavier. I am team Eugene because he is lonely,” said Angelo Alves.

In the show, Wednesday attends the Snowball Dance with Tyler and ends up dancing along with other students to “Goo Goo Muck” by The Cramps.

Some people loved the way she danced while others felt differently about it.

“I love Wednesday’s dance, it is my favorite part of the series!!” said Ayla.

“I thought it was a little freaky but it was also very much her, but I don't think it could be something I could ever watch without cringing,” said Sylvie.

“I was scared,” Angelo said.

At the season finale, we found out that Tyler is the Hyde, and Wednesday, who has been expelled from Nevermore, has a stalker. We have to wait to find out in season two who her stalker might be and who she finally ends up with.

For people who want to see more of Jenna Ortega and Percy Hynes White, they have been rumored to star as love interests in Tiffany Paulsen’s upcoming romance “Winter, Spring, Summer, or Fall.”
