This past Friday, March 3, Morgan Wallen released his long awaited album “One Thing At a Time.” The album consists of 36 songs making it Wallen’s third studio album, through Big Loud Records. The album broke Spotify's single-day streaming Record with 52.29 million streams. 

Wallen previously released some of the songs before putting out the final album. Some of the most popular being ‘You Proof’, ‘Last Night’ and ‘Everything I Love’. Quickly after this release, ‘Last Night’ shot right up to the top of Billboard’s Hot Country Songs chart.  

I loved the album and I think it definitely has some genius lyrics. He uses a style of repeating many lyrics through all of his songs which is a part of what makes him so good. 

He wrote one song on the new album called ‘Keith Whitley’ who is a legend in country music. Wallen used many of Whitley’s song titles in the song. This song definitely made me appreciate Wallen even more. 

My other favorite song is called ‘Wine Into Water’ which is yet another song written in a very smart way. Not only the lyrics, but the way all of the music sounds is what gets me hooked. There is a song for any occasion  which is not something that everyone can do. 

Many argue that this recent release is his best yet. I would agree because of the amount of songs and how good they all are. None are bad. 

Here at Norwood High school we have some serious Wallen fans. Sophomore Morgan Naumann, shares some reactions to the new album. 

“My favorite song is definitely ‘Me To Me’. It's one of my favorite songs he's ever produced. I’d call it a work of art. The album itself is really good and I like how it's really long so it doesn't feel repetitive,” Naumann said.

Sophomore Anna Artsramyn gave us her first thoughts on the album.  

“I stayed up until the drop. 12 am, you best believe. I was blasting it. It was just the best album ever. All the songs, he never misses. The first one I listened to was ‘Last Night’ which is my favorite one. I really appreciate him as an artist, he’s amazing,” she said. 

Overall the reviews of the album have been nothing but positive and Morgan Wallen continues to bless his fan base with this one.
