Mustangs beat Mustangs on Senior Night

On February 11, the girl's varsity hockey team won their senior night against the Medway Mustangs 3-2.


Student fan Sophomore Olivia Loud said, “ It was a great game, especially on senior night, the girls did amazing.” 


During the first period, Emily Spadorcia had a couple of breakaways and the girls had amazing defense from Molly Federico and Sophia Kruz. By the end of the quarter, the score was 1-0 with Medway in the lead. 


During the second period of the game, starting strong senior Captain Morgan Roach gets a goal assisted by her co-captain Jenna Naumann, and minutes after that junior Assistant Captain Michala Reen got a goal assisted by Jenna Naumann again. The girls stood their ground on defense holding the Medway Mustangs. By the end of the period, Emily Spadoricia scored another goal. The period ended with a 3-1 score, Norwood in the lead 


In the third period, the girls played the strongest period. Even in the lead they all still stuck their ground. Even with Medway scoring one goal at the beginning of the period the girl's defense stayed strong.


The end score of the game was 3-2 with a Norwood Mustang win. 


“The girls really proved so much in tonight's game, it was an amazing game to watch can't wait to see what else they have in store this season,” said sophomore fan Shea Larkee


During the game, you could really feel the girls' energy and how they really are a team. 


The girls play Canton next on Fri. 2/17.
