This article serves as a continuation of my pizza review column! So dive in, and discover what Express Pizza has in store for you.

Express Pizza is a Norwood staple. Its location being directly on the town's common it is an irrefutable Norwood classic.

The warm and friendly, family-owned atmosphere when entering the store makes complete sense when lined up with the fact it is a beating heart in the world of Norwood Pizza.

The store had a very homely feel to it and the consumer service reflected this brightly. I was immediately greeted with a pleasant smile that added to that effect.

The fragrance that was emitted from the fresh golden pizzas coming out of the oven was a great sign in my book.

I ordered a large cheese pizza which costs $16 with a side of mozzarella sticks because I had heard rumors of their fried food being a highlight.

I took my seat at one of the rather comfortable booths. Although it should be noted that the seating was minimal. Although being there for an hour, it seemed like people were just picking up. Another factor when it comes to seating is in the summer, Norwood common puts out 8-10 picnic benches right outside of the restaurant which nearly triples their seating capacity.

I didn’t wait much more than 15 minutes for my pizza which I feel is a really good time, especially because their phone was ringing with new orders almost by the minute.

I had a good view of the pizza oven from my seat, and I saw when my pizza came out. Steam flew off the pizza and the beauty of its golden surface and crispy-looking crust was revealed to the world.

The pizza was placed in front of me and the same captivating fragrance that had captivated me when I entered the establishment graced my nose with its presence once more, only now it was right there. It was in front of me and I was excited.

I feel like a sign of a great pizza to me is how stringy the cheese is and I was admittedly a little disappointed about the quality of the cheese.

No matter the quality, the taste swept me off my feet as Prince Charming did to Cinderella. It just had this fantastic savory pizza flavor, that nearly put my taste buds in a trance.

I now understood the hype behind the pizza but had no idea yet how good those mozzarella sticks might be.

I uncovered the marinara sauce that was served with the mozzarella sticks. I then selected a mozzarella stick and plunged it into the sauce and then into my mouth.

It truly lived up to the hype. It was that perfect fried cheesy goodness that I had hoped for.

Although I believe the pizza at Crushed Peppers is superior, only by the narrowest of margins. My personal opinion is the pizza was a joyful 8.7/10.

When the warm weather hits and you are spending a gleeful afternoon on the Norwood Common I would keep Express Pizza in mind.
