Just because things have improved since around this time last year doesn't mean we are close to being out of the woods yet. However, we still have summer to look forward to and hopefully, we can make the best out of it. Last summer we had to rethink everything due to COVID guidelines but that didn't mean that our summer was over before it started; we pulled through and made the best of what we had even if not everyone followed the rules all the time.

Summer is supposed to be a time where we put all of our troubles and stressors aside for a few months and forget about reality. We are supposed to enjoy the time we have to do that because it's not very often we get to do that. What we normally did had to be put on hold last summer because of everything that needed to be figured out.

Summer 2021 won't be as secluded as it was before. Things are opening up and we now know how to interact safely. Don't be fooled, however. Just because things are opening doesn't mean it's going back to normal much to everyone's displeasure. Fellow students and classmates have shared what they plan to have their summer 20201 look like.

Some say they just want to stay in bed all day and some just want to be on the beach all day. Blue Hills Regional student Rebecca Lavange's plans fall into the mix. Her days include “sleeping until noon and tanning until the sun goes down.” She also said “catching the ice cream truck a time or two would be a nice bonus.”

Everyone's favorite events during the summer had to be put on hold last year. Blue Hills Regional student Brayden Mahoney has plans for a much more active summer.

Mahoney plans to spend his time outdoors. His plans include "riding my bike early in the morning and then go jump in the lake at my lake house."

"Why waste time tanning if it's going to go away in a few months? Jumping off rope swings and tubing sounds like a much better idea to me” He said.
