“I really get excited about giving students the tools they can use to apply towards real-life experiences and opportunities,” she says.

Ms. Pamela Schnatterly is Norwood High School’s newest TV and media teacher, coming to us from the all-girls Ursuline Academy where she was a communications officer and occasionally taught drama.

NHS Drama teacher Mr. Quinn and Mrs. Schnatterly are good friends outside of school, so when Mr. Quinn initially told Mrs. Schnatterly about the job opening at NHS and all the “amazing resources we have here that Norwood offers, it was kind of a no brainer. It was not an opportunity I was not willing to pass up,” she said.

Mrs. Schnatterly graduated from the New York Institute of Technology, and Emerson College in Boston with her bachelor's in television production. She decided to go into teaching, then eventually stepped back into the television and media world, combining the two.

“I really get excited about giving students the tools they can use to apply towards real-life experiences and opportunities,” she said.

Although Mrs. Schnatterly misses her former students and says “the schedule is confusing because of the majors and minors,” she really does enjoy her role here at NHS and is happy to be part of the community and make a difference.

When she isn’t teaching at NHS, Mrs. Schnatterly loves to be with her twelve-year-old son and nine-year-old daughter and travel the world, including traveling to the Turks and Caicos in the Caribbean.

“I love spending family time and we love to travel any opportunity. I’m rarely home on the weekend,” she said.
