As the new school year has started many NHS seniors are looking towards college but the process of finding the perfect college is difficult and may take many months to make a decision where to apply.

There are many factors that go into the college-admissions process and senior Danessy Auguste is feeling the stress.  She considers many things when deciding to apply to a college: “Does it have my major? Does it have the acceptance rate I want, the dates I need to pass in my application?”

Senior Robbie Jandrue had a similar response: “I think location and prestige is the biggest things I look for in a college and then cost is like a third thing to think about. "

How close a college is to home and how much it costs does have a huge implication on which college students apply to.  Auguste is aware of those elements. “Of course some colleges are very expensive from the $30,000 to $50,000 range and some up to $70,000 and I can’t afford that so I need to make sure I work hard for a scholarship. "

A lot of things go into finding a college and students really need to take some time to think about what's most important to them.
