When you think of the town of Norwood, the number one thing people will tell you is how many amazing local restaurants we have. For over a decade now the Josephs family has owned and operated the town's favorite seafood restaurant, The Takeaway.

The Takeaway currently employs several student from NHS. Sophomores Jared Tinlin, Dan Michienzi, Liam Mannering and Nate Hsu have all been working there for several months.

Dan Michienzi has been working there for 6 months and has respect for his bosses, Mark and Cathy

“Mark and Cathy Joesph are both very kind and generous people who genuinely care about their staff and community,” he said.

Liam Mannering also works there and appreciates the new skills he's learned.

“This job has given me the opportunity to learn how to communicate better with customers and has taught me how to work harder as a person and employee” he said.

The Takeaway is a popular restaurant amongst students. Lyla Fagan enjoys the “bomb crazy fresh clam strips and fries."

Freshman Leila Montesano is family friends with the owners and frequently eats dinner at The Takeaway.

“The fish and chips are so tasty,” she said.

The Takeaway is open from Wednesday- Saturday.  The menu has a variety of meals, sides, and options to chose from.

A fan favorite is the lobster roll. According to the staff, many customers enjoy the fried whole bellyclams.
