T: What do you think are good ways to improve child education in developing countries?

S: Um, I think the best way is for us like, the best way would be donation, but like we’re still young, so we cannot donate like … very … very much, but still if we each of us donate like, for example, one hundred yen per person, that if one hundred people donate one hundred yen, then that would be ten thousand yen. So like I think that that can be … still helpful for um for developing countries as well. But also, we can donate learning materials such as pencils, pens, notebooks that we don’t use any more. T: OK, um, after collecting these um learning materials, would you, are you interested in sending them directly to those in need? Or do you, are you thinking of something, some other ways?

S: Um, I’m not sure like if … if it’s OK for us to send them directly because like I heard that when disasters happened in Japan, like … like many people send the, send some materials or things like directly to the organization, and they were like, and I heard that they were kind of like um … they were like … a bit concern, あ not concern but like, they were like they had in trouble like sorting them out because the they got too much. So um I think it will be better to send to some kind of organization that are in charge of um improving child education in developing countries.思考・判断・表現 条件2・その他)

T: I see. So you mention um one one method of collecting learning materials and also donating, collecting the donation. 

S: Mm.

T: Which do you think is better?

S: Um, … maybe like, I don’t know, mm, it’s difficult. But um, I think if we can, if we can collect(Sound of the timer)… like some amount of money, then I think money will be better because like if we send money, then they can decide … like what to use. So mm, I think that will be better.

T: Mm. I see. OK, thank you very much.
