Resumo
A metáfora é um tema interdisciplinar por excelência para estabelecer o diálogo entre as diferentes ciências, ao repelar-nos que todas são antropomórficas, ou seja, humanas. Apresentamos aqui uma breve história da evolução da nossa própria concepção de metáfora e das suas possibilidades epistemológicas, heurísticas, pedagógicas, comunicativas, terapêuticas… Esta evolução resultou da interacção com os estudos teóricos e experimentais feitos em psicologia, em linguística, filosofia da ciência, etc. por um número cada vez maior de interessados.
Abstract
Being a mutidisciplinary theme, metaphor is the ideal tool to promote dialogue between different sciences, revealing that they are all antropomorphic or, by other words, human sciences. We present here a brief account of the evolution of our own Conception of metaphor and its functions in scientific research, in learning and teaching, in therapy, etc. This evolution results from interactions with theoretical and experimental studies in the field of the psychology of science, etc. made by other scholars.
