Incident Detail

I wasn't afraid about leaving behind my body, my life, my baby, or my family and friends; none of it seemed relevant to me, she added. "There was no concept of time at all, just the feeling of total peace." She experienced a "dream state" in which she was on the sand in front of a man she had never met but felt like she had known for a very long time.

She was informed by the man that everything was alright and that she still had time to depart. Her surroundings started to change abruptly. She spent time in the mountains, her childhood home's backyard, and other locations where she felt closer to nature. Ms. Santiago claimed that when she first awoke, she was unable to talk and that her body had become absolutely rigid.

She tested positive for vasovagal syncope, which causes people to faint when they overreact to certain triggers like blood or emotional stress. Blood supply to the brain is decreased as a result of the heart rate and blood pressure decline. She briefly loses consciousness as a result of this. Despite the fact that the heart rate may drop for up to 10 seconds, the condition is not fatal. Ms. Santiago declared, "I'm 100 percent certain that what I saw was the 'in-between' and it was far more than simply a fainting episode.

Ms. Santiago claimed in a number of TikTok videos that she had a hunch something would go wrong with the MRI. "When we die, we are not gone, and wherever we go, we are happy," she claimed. She had gone through a difficult breakup and lost a friend a few weeks prior to the occurrence. She claimed that this might have contributed to the near-death experience.

When a person is in a specific life-threatening circumstance, as when their body is seriously harmed or their heart stops, they have a near-death experience (NDE). According to experts, 10 to 20 percent of those whose hearts have stopped face a close call with death. This represents 5% of the entire population.
