Three women were shot on Saturday night in southwest Columbus while attending a vigil. The investigation also revealed that Sagittarius Lamar, 29, was the alleged shooter. Just before 3:30 a.m., Columbus police responded to reports of a gunshot at an apartment complex in the 700 block of Canonby Place in the South Franklinton neighbourhood, according to a news release on the police department's website.

When officers got on the site, they found three women suffering from gunshot wounds. In order to get the women to Grant Medical Centre, ambulances were sent to the apartment complex. All three of them had critical conditions stated. They stabilised, though, and their wounds healed following the procedure.

The women were identified as being between the ages of 22 and 26 by a subsequent investigation. They were found to be taking part in a vigil for a friend who had passed away. The suspected shooter was also identified by the investigation.

According to reports, Sagittarius 29, leaned out of an apartment window and fired several bullets at the three women. Lamar was sought after by law authorities after being charged with three counts of criminal assault. The shooting's investigation was handled by the Columbus Police Department.
