Reid Watts Wiki - Reid Watts Biography

A gang of adult men attacked an Alabama adolescent at a country music festival after he was accused of spilling a drink on one of them, and he was knocked out and had his nose fractured. On Saturday night, 18-year-old Reid Watts was attending the Rock the South music festival with his girlfriend and a group of pals when a different spectator accused him of pouring a drink on him. Watts claimed that because he was without a drink at the time, he made an effort to dispel any confusion.

Following a handshake, the teenager was reportedly attacked from behind as his buddies exited to use the lavatory. 'Some dude said I was spilling beer on him or something along those things, and then I talked to him because I didn't have a drink on me at the time, like I didn't have anything, I talked to him and shook his hand because I thought everything was okay because I explained to him it wasn't me,' he told his local ABC station.

Then, he continued, "I was walking back a few minutes later when I got hit in the back of the head, hit the ground, tried to cover my face, and then I got knocked out and that was really all I remember." Katie Hudgins, the young man's girlfriend, described the encounter as traumatising. She described the experience as being "horrific, traumatising, and I felt so helpless because I couldn't get in there and get to him and I had to sit there and watch him get beat up while he's unconscious."

The altercation didn't finish until festival security intervened, located the teenager, and escorted him from the area. Kaci Howard, Watts' mother, has enlisted assistance in identifying the assailants of her son. "Please assist me in identifying the cowards who attacked my kid at Rock the South tonight. His girlfriend was standing there screaming and asking for help when five mature males in their 30s and 40s swarmed on him and beat him until he was rendered unconscious, she wrote in a Facebook post.

When security eventually caught up to them and took Reid and Katie out of there and to an ambulance, they continued pounding the man while he was on the ground. After being brought to the hospital, she posted a photo of her kid wearing a neck brace as he had a very swollen and red face. He had softball-sized knots on the back of his skull, a shattered nose, stitches, and a concussion. He didn't even anticipate it, she wrote.

Although the exact moment of the attack is unknown, it happened when Chris Stapleton was performing at York Farms in Cullman, Alabama, on Saturday. Chase Brown, one of the onlookers, claimed to the nearby media that he attempted to intervene and assist Watts. "I was wondering if it might have been my younger brother or one of my pals. It would be nice if someone else did the same. Simply put, there were a lot of individuals present, he added.

After the attack, the teen was discharged from the hospital and has been recovering at home. He claimed that everything "could've been a lot worse" and that he is doing OK. According to law enforcement officials, charges will be brought soon in this case. Wednesday afternoon is set aside for a press conference. According to Cullman Police Chief David Nassetta, "The part that we are most concerned with is that portion where Mr.

Reid is on the ground and it's obvious that he is unconscious, you can see that his legs are not moving, and he continues to be punched in the face." For information that might result in the arrest of the perpetrators, festival organisers offered a $10,000 prize and lifelong tickets. The organisers called the attackers "gutless cowards," but they were grateful for the information and photographs they shared. Community has always been important to us. We are pleased with the unprecedented unity among our followers. We appreciate your hard work, RTS Family," the festival remarked on Instagram.
