Lauren Collins, an 18-year-old college student, was killed early on Sunday morning on a Kentucky interstate when a tyre from a passing truck fell away and slammed into her windscreen. Just after midnight, Lauren Collins was travelling south on Interstate 75 close to the Ohio border when a truck's tyre fell off on the north side of the road, according to a statement from the Boone County Sheriff's Office. Collins' 2012 Buick LaCrosse was hit by the out-of-control tyre as it bounced over the concrete median and hit the windscreen.
