The 46-year-old guy was apprehended in Cardiff, South Wales, in April of last year. He was convicted of murder and given a life sentence for the 1998 stabbing death of jeweller Gerry Hales. Following a conversation between police and a man who was concerned about prostitution, the Merthyr Tydfil Crown Court heard on Tuesday that Frayne was at the address with her victim.

When Frayne opened the door to her flat on Colum Road, she was only partially dressed. Her 'expression' altered when she spotted the officers. Later, the victim from the WalesOnline complaint showed up at the door and gave police a false name and age, claiming to be 20 while seeming "nervous" and trembling.

The discovery of open condom packages, undies, and a notepad with entries on sexual actions in the flat raised suspicions. The cops could quite easily see that there were certain elements of sexual conduct going on, according to prosecutor Julia Cox. Another woman eventually arrived on the scene and referred to the victim by a name other than the one she had given the police.

She admitted to the police that she was 16 years old and that she had met Frayne on Snapchat when they spoke separately with the victim. In an interview, he claimed that the defendant paid him and assisted him in creating an account on a website dedicated to prostitution.

She declared that she had a client lined up and would give Frayne a portion of her earnings. He leased the Colum Road house through Airbnb for four days, intending to be there when he wasn't in another room with clients. Additionally, he paid for the taxis and lunches.

After being detained and eventually entering a guilty plea to inciting or encouraging prostitution, Frayne, who did not have a fixed address, insisted that she had actually thought the victim was 20 years old. The defendant also had prior convictions for deliberate severe bodily harm and violation of justice in addition to his murder conviction. As a result, after his ultimate conviction, he was sent back to jail.

As a mitigating circumstance, Marian Lewis claimed that her client was "couchsurfing" at the time of the offence as a result of relationship issues. He admitted guilt after calling the crime "out of character" and avoiding having the victim give a statement. Welsh Records Frayne received a 10-month prison sentence from Judge Tracey Lloyd-Clarke. Additionally, she ordered a four-year suspension for him.

Frayne gained her trust by paying for her meal and transport before having intercourse, according to Detective Officer Sean James of the South Wales Police after the trial. Once she had her trust, she paid for an escort website ad that led to her becoming a prostitute. "The investigation was drawn out and complicated. Because of the police investigation and the victim's bravery, the claimed guilt reflects the strength of the evidence against him.

The victim had a catastrophic impact, but he has shown incredible fortitude and patience over the course of the investigation. "My daughter and I would like to thank the South Wales Police, and in particular Sean, for all their help in the case," the victim's mother wrote in an email to South Wales Police. Sean has been with us from the beginning and has always been there for us. Great. We appreciate your presence and are pleased that the defendant has admitted guilt, allowing us to move on with our lives.
