Lorna Roxanne Green Incident Detail

The opening of the clinic, which was initially scheduled for June 12, 2022, before the damage brought on by the fire, reportedly caused the woman worry and nightmares. Nearly ten months after the fire on May 25, 2022, Green was taken into custody on March 23. The Justice Department stated at the time of her arrest that they think she is the one seen on surveillance footage entering into the building with a can of gasoline before lighting it on fire.

The clinic suffered severe smoke damage and damaged windows even though no one was hurt in the incident; according to a recent post on their Facebook page, the damage was estimated to be worth $300,000. Authorities finally posted a $15,000 reward for information on the offender in publicly available video screenshots after months went by without an arrest, which ultimately led to Green.

If found guilty, she may spend up to 20 years in jail and pay a $250,000 fine. Ryan Semerad, Green's lawyer, expressed excitement about representing her in court. The clinic, which first opened its doors on April 20, provides women with numerous birth control options, surgical and medical abortions, HIV/AIDS care and treatment, as well as other family planning and health services. According to The AP, Wellspring is the only Wyoming clinic to do surgical abortions in at least ten years. A Jackson, Mississippi, facility formerly offered abortion-related drugs.
