A Bristol district man admitted to violently shaking his infant son twice on Wednesday before reporting the incident to police. He was charged in the infant son's death by "battered child" incident. Tyler Sullivan, 30, was charged with murder and two counts of serious assault on Thursday. He is being held without bond, as directed by district judge Frank Peranteau.

His 4-month-old baby, known as TS in court documents, was pronounced dead at Lower Bucks Hospital on Thursday just after midnight. Police and first responders were called to a house on Radcliffe Street to treat a youngster who was having a cardiac attack, and emergency medical personnel then rushed the infant to the hospital.

Despite efforts to revive him, the baby died, according to the police, before being taken to the hospital. When police arrived at the house, they reported that the youngster was not breathing and was cold to the touch. The infant was blue and bruised on his forehead, and the doctor who examined him also discovered "battle bruises" on his neck, right thigh, and the inside of his right eye.

He also suffered a cut on the right side of his nose and head wounds. According to the doctor's knowledge, the baby's condition was "indicative of a child who has been abused." According to court documents, TS was aggressively shaken twice by Sullivan, once on May 24 in the morning and once in the evening following a bath.

According to the probable cause affidavit, Sullivan claimed the injuries happened when he smacked the baby's head on the rocking rocker and hit the head on the bathtub while he was bathing the infant on Wednesday night. The records claim that Sullivan also claimed he had shaken his son at least six additional times in the previous six weeks.

The boy's mother did not press charges, but she did report to the police that while the boy was in Sullivan's sole custody, she saw injuries on the boy's body that did not match the defendant's claims. The woman changed her profile picture with a baby photo in late February and states that she is engaged to Sullivan on her Facebook page.
