An 18-year-old Middleborough student has been charged with attempted murder after stabbing three other youths and critically injuring one of them, according to the police. Jayden Wainwright was told to stay at the Plymouth County House of Correction under a $25,000 cash bond. Three counts of assault and battery with a deadly weapon have also been brought against him.

Police said they got a 911 call at 12:05 a.m. on Saturday saying that several people had been stabbed near some power wires on Wall Street. When police arrived, they discovered two stabbing victims who were both 19 years old.  A 19-year-old victim was transported in serious condition by ambulance to a hospital in Boston after suffering numerous stab wounds to the body, according to authorities.

A second 19-year-old victim was transported by ambulance to a hospital in New Bedford after receiving numerous stab wounds to the leg, according to police. Police said a private individual transported a third victim, a 15-year-old kid who had been stabbed in the leg, to a hospital in Taunton.

Investigation into the incident is still ongoing. Police stated that additional charges could be brought against other individuals. On Monday, Wainwright will go on trial in Wareham District Court.
