According to the Baltimore County Police Department, a family from Maryland, including a 6-year-old son, died in an apparent double-murder suicide. On August 18, county police officers conducted a wellness check at a residence in Towson. Two people and a child were discovered inside dead from what appeared to be gunshot wounds, the department reported in a news release.

Yogesh Nagarajappa, Prathiba Y. Amarnath, 37, and Yash Honnal, 6, were eventually identified as the three.According to the Baltimore County Police Department, police suspect Nagarajappa was the shooter. The chief medical examiner is looking into the circumstances surrounding the death.
