A 15-month-old kid who sustained a fatal head injury was charged with first-degree murder in connection with his death by a California babysitter. According to a news release from the agency, the Beaumont Police agency started their investigation on April 26 after being informed of the child's death by the Riverside County Coroner's Office. Heather Lyn Greenman, 37, was watching over the toddler when she sustained a brain injury.

The boy "had fallen while running and was transported to a local hospital for swelling of the head and bleeding on the brain," according to Greenman's report to the police. According to KABC, Greenman entered a not guilty plea to the accusation against her on Wednesday. After looking into the incident, police claimed to have discovered a second victim, a two-year-old who had "suffered from several serious injuries" while in Greenman's care.
