In a video released by CNN affiliate WLS, Chicago Police Department Deputy Chief Adnardo Gutierrez explained to reporters that a verbal altercation started at one in the morning, and many people started shooting.

A 25-year-old lady was taken to Mt. Sinai Medical Centre, where she passed away from her wounds and was declared dead, according to Gutierrez. According to Gutierrez, four victims were transferred to Stroger Hospital and one victim was taken to West Suburban Medical Centre.
