During a barrage of shotgun fire that resulted in the death of one of her old friends, a Montana lawyer admittedly attempted to murder his longstanding ex-girlfriend.James Preston Freeman, 52, was killed in May 2022, and the mother of his child suffered serious injuries. Garry Douglas Seaman, 64, was previously charged with one count each of purposeful homicide, attempted homicide, and tampering with or fabricating physical evidence.
