Count Bernheim

An inquest was held at Cheltenham on Tuesday, April 6, 1932.

On March 2 that year, Count Bernheim, son of a French cavalry officer, had taken a bad fall from Summer Song in the National Hunt Juvenile Steeplechase at Cheltenham and had subsequently died.

It was stated that no relatives could be found.

A detective named Hart said that he had known Louis Marie Joseph Bernheim since August 1926.

Count Bernheim had lived at various addresses in the district, was commonly known as Count Bernheim and described himself as a gentleman jockey.

A verdict of accidental death was recorded.

Count Bernheim was born on March 15 1897.
