June 13, 2023 - Meeting Summary
The San Diego S-Gaugers held the June club meeting at our clubhouse and on Zoom. Attendees were: Mike Forys, Ken Sadlock, Robert Graves, Raulf Polichar, Don Briggs, Alex Sibbald, Paul De Laurell and Gary Clemons.
Introduction of New Faces / Show and Tell:
Bob Graves spoke to the club about clinics he attended at the 2023 PSR Convention that he attended in Flagstaff, Arizona. He stated that Arduino boards are able to read inputs - light on a sensor, a finger on a button, or a Twitter message - and turn it into an output - activating a motor, turning on an LED, publishing something online and they are inexpensive. LCC Command Control is more expensive and better suited to a large, permanent layout featuring operations.
Mike Forys announced that the picture of the D&RGW northern is framed and hanging on the wall.
