March 23, 2013 - Meeting Summary
The San Diego S Gaugers held the January club meeting in our clubhouse in Liberty Station. Attendees were: Mike Forys, Raulf Polichar, Bob Graves, Dale Minard, Oakley Warren and Ken Sadlock.
Treasurer’s Report:
Bob Graves reported that we took in $54.00 in clubhouse and trains show donations in February in addition to the Train show and photo shoot stipends of $600.00. We also spent $131 to rent a trailer due to the threat of rain.
Standard’s report:
Raulf Polichar brought in preliminary drawings of the precision alignment tools for us to review. Parts have been ordered to do the first few module interfaces.
Old Business:
PY2.0:
Dale added his icing station. Lights need to be wired. The module still needs a switch control motor.
PY2.5
This module still needs switch control motor and clouds.
Lift bridge module:
The Entry/ Exit module is complete for operation. It worked well at WGH and since then. Scenery has been started. Mike warned everyone that care should be taken when lowering the bridge, because it will fall heavily and could knock the track out of alignment.
Window Layout:
Our activity counter recorded 912 hits since last month’s meeting. The total amount of hits since May 20, 2012 is over 9400.
U Channel discussion:
U channel work is complete and numbered.
