The Sept 26th meeting will be held at the home of Wes Noel who will also be conducting a hands-on ballasting clinic at 11 AM preceding the 2 PM meeting. The October 17th meeting will be held at the home of Ken Sadlock. An engine repair clinic will be held that morning preceding the meeting. The November 21 and December 19 meetings will take place at our Suite in Grossmont Center.

501(c)3 status:
We are waiting for input from similar organizations to properly code our club on the application.
Future Projects:
Mike Forys says that the new Powell Yard module (PY3.5) is 70% complete. Mike reported that the 3 new Gilbert Yard module modules have their wire harnesses installed. He estimates they are 60% complete.
SDMRM Labor Day Visit:
Our next layout display will take place at the San Diego Model Railroad Museum over the Labor Day Weekend. Setup will take place on Thursday 9/03/15 with layout open to visitors on the following Friday, Saturday, Sunday and Monday. Teardown will begin after display hours on Monday. Mike Forys passed around a schedule for members to sign up for coverage at the museum.
Liberty Station:
The foundation side at Liberty Station contacted the club in order to offer the club an opportunity to setup trains at the Command Center this holiday season. Unfortunately the space available would require us to create a new, small, layout for that venture and so the board will recommend another club for that effort.
Grossmont Center:
The shopping center management contacted us to arrange for a train display during the holiday season. Mike Forys, Raulf Polichar, Alex Sibbald and Dale Minard toured the center last week. They showed us several vacant storefronts for us to choose from. A storefront next to Panera Bread was selected as our first choice. It fronts on the main promenade and will get plenty of attention. Negotiations are in process as to our hours of operation as well as setup and teardown dates.
Meeting was adjourned at 3:40 PM.
