July 17, 2018 - Meeting Summary
The San Diego S-Gaugers held the June club meeting at our clubhouse (304 on the mall map) in Grossmont Center at 10:00am. Attendees were: Mike Forys, Robert Graves, Raulf Polichar, Ken Sadlock, Wes Noel, Don Briggs, Dale Minard, Jerry Shiller and Alex Sibbald.
Introduction of new faces / Show and Tell:
Wes Noel displayed a Bar Mills Swanson Lunch Stand that he constructed. Alex Sibbald showed the scratch-built trolley that a visitor donated. Dale Minard passed around several photos depicting unusual train loads.
Treasurer’s Report:
Bob Graves stated that we received $210.57 from visitor donations and reported that the club received two more train collections as donations.
Standards Report:
Raulf Polichar brought in the new and freshly repainted American Models FP-7 that the club bought to replace the locomotive on Liberty Loop.

New Gilbert Town Modules:
Rework on the last module is on hold.
Lift Bridge Module Retrofit.
Mike Forys reported that retrofit rework is complete on the lift bridge module.
Window Layout Success and Visitor Attendance:
As of 07/14/2018 the window layout button has been pushed 3,485 times since our last meeting, 102,869 times since we installed it at Grossmont Center and 138,741 times since day one.

Future events:
The next meetings will be on Tuesdays, August 21 and Tuesday September 18 and will be held at our clubhouse (suite 304 on the mall map) in Grossmont Center at 10AM.
Work Session:
A work session will be held Thursday August 2nd at 10:00am at the Grossmont center clubhouse.
Window Displays:
Raulf Polichar has replaced the Baldwin Switcher with the new FP-7 that he repainted and renamed with Grossmont Central RR colors.
Grossmont Activities:
The Lego build day scheduled for July 21st has been cancelled by the Lego Museum due to interference with Comic-con. Mike will be out of town from 7/19 - 7/28 and 8/6 - 8/18.
Clubhouse Electricity:
The club had the Air Conditioner System checked and the filters changed to maximize efficiency. This comes as the Club is now being billed for electricity used in the past, present and future.
PSR Convention:
The convention will be held 9/12 to 9/16 2018 at Courtyard by Marriott Mission Valley. Our Time Saver Module will be featured at the event.
Timesaver:
Raulf displayed the industrial grade switches we will use to replace the current power switches.
