June 28, 2014 - Meeting Summary
The San Diego S Gaugers held the June club meeting in our clubhouse in Liberty Station. Attendees were: Mike Forys, Bob Graves, Ken Sadlock, Dale Minard, Alex Sibbald, Wes Noel, Al Kiel, Raulf Polichar, Oakley Warren and Jim Patterson.
Show and Tell:
Al Kiel brought in a auto transport train car. Mike Forys displayed his RR crossing template, which is too large. He will order an HO version.
Treasurer’s Report:
Bob Graves reported that we took in $241.92 in clubhouse donations during May. Donations have exceeded expenses again this month and we continue to be solvent.

Publicity Report:
Dale Minard reported that he was working on getting info to the Dispatch.
Old Business:
Lift bridge module:
The French cleat that Dale Minard suggested we install on the lift bridge appears to be maintaining our track gap after a month of operation.
SDSG Website:
Bob Graves has added videos and updated the section depicting member projects.
Donated Trains:
Ongoing.

This module still needs switch control motor and clouds. (On-hold)
Window Layout:
Our activity counter has recorded over 1,000 hits in the last month. Now into the 25th month of counter operation, the counter has recorded over 27,000 pushes on the Liberty Loop button. The scenery is currently under construction.
Roundhouse Addition:
Mike Forys has installed inspection pits in the roundhouse complete with stairs on each end. Dale Minard has created a shipping center located across from the fruit packing plant.
Twin Lakes Module:
Ready for the construction of low hills on the visitor side of the tracks.

Future events:
The next monthly meeting of 2014 will be hosted by Bob Graves on Saturday, July 26, 2014. The August meeting will be hosted by Wes Noel on the 23rd.
PSR Regional Convention:
The PSR Regional Convention runs from Sept 3 thru Sept 7. We were to be an offsite event but the recent events have left us without a clubhouse. Possibility of setting up at the convention itself is under consideration.
New Clubhouse Search:
We are searching for a new clubhouse. Bob Graves is creating a handout to aid in this process. The ideal size would be 40 X 50 but we could squeeze into 40 X 35. Raulf has located a garage near University and 37th St where we could store partitions, desks and chairs.
Liberty Station:
The last day of operation at Liberty Station will be July 9th. We must vacate our suite by July 16th. A move out schedule will be published July 8th. Mike will purchase some plywood for crating the window layout.
GTE:
There will not be a GTE show at Del Mar in December this year.
