April 17, 2018 - Meeting Summary
The San Diego S-Gaugers held the April club meeting at our clubhouse (304 on the mall map) in Grossmont Center at 10:00am. Attendees were: Mike Forys, Robert Graves, Raulf Polichar, Ken Sadlock, Les Smith, Jerry Shiller and Alex Sibbald.
Introduction of new faces / Show and Tell:
Mike Forys displayed a section of display shelf which he intends to use on future wall displays of trains. Les Smith passed around a Lovepop popup Christmas Card featuring a train that he received.
Treasurer’s Report:
Bob Graves reported that we received $269.49 from visitor donations and a generous donation from one of our members, Jim Patterson.
Standards Report:
Raulf Polichar reported that he is developing an S-Gauge coupler height gauge. He discussed several turnout projects that are in the works including jigs for motors and turnout motor repair.
Publicity Report:
Les Smith stated that the American Flyer Celebration Day has been postponed.

New Gilbertown Modules:
Rework on the last module is ongoing.
Lift Bridge Module Retrofit.
Mike Forys reported that retrofit rework has improved the lift bridge module and future work on the track should finish up the rework project.
Window Layout Success and Visitor Attendance:
As of 04/14/2018 the window layout button has been pushed 3,747 times since our last meeting, 92,992 times since we installed it at Grossmont Center and 128,864 times since day one.

Future events:
The next meetings will be on Tuesdays, May 22, 2018 and June 19, 2018 and will be held at our clubhouse (suite 304 on the mall map) in Grossmont Center at 10AM.
Work Session:
A work session to realign track interfaces and other tasks will be held Thursday April 26th at 10:00am at the Grossmont center clubhouse. A reminder email will be sent out.
Window Displays:
Mike Forys has removed the Easter Ceramic Window Display and the club replaced it with the Streeterville 1950’s American Flyer Display.
Grossmont Activities:
The next Lego build day is on April 21st. The Grossmont Center, Easter, Egg Event attracted 883 visitors to our clubhouse and we passed out 504 Easter Eggs.
PSR Convention:
The convention will be held 9/12 to 9/16 2018 at Courtyard by Marriott Mission Valley. Our Time Saver Module will be featured at the event. Other displays have been suggested.
