Grossmont Center:
The SDSG club got our first good look at the storefront that will house our layouts for the rest of the year. Mike Forys introduced several possible floor plans for the membership to consider. The floor plan selected features our Liberty Loop Layout in the left window. We will be creating a window display for the right window that will feature ceramic pieces on a hill in the center of the circle of sectional track that surrounds it. The hill will be hollow and provide a place to connect the many AC cords.
A preliminary schedule of setup times and train running schedule was passed around so that members could see the commitment required for this activity and select participation times. It was decided to begin move in on Tuesday, Oct 28. Participating members are asked to meet at the La Mesa storage facility at 11AM. Our first public weekend will begin on Friday, Nov. 14th. We urge members to sign up for participation running trains and greeting the public.
Mike will be emailing an excel, spreadsheet for sign up purposes. Members who signed up during the meeting will be included in the spreadsheet.
The Great Train Expo:
The Great Train Expo has scheduled a show in Del Mar on the 14th and 15th of February. Dale Minard proposed that our layout for this year be more square than rectangular.
New Clubhouse Search:
In order to facilitate finding a new clubhouse, Mike Forys suggested that we use the donations obtained during this stay at Grossmont Center to fund the club becoming a 501C3 Corporation. Mike asked Bob Graves to obtain necessary documentation and information necessary to accomplish this.
Donation Box:
Ken Sadlock is working on a donation box that will attach to our modular display. It will be fabricated with wood and plexiglas.

Magazines and multipage promotional information will be kept inside the layout and only made available to visitors who display serious interest.
