2008: Finishing the First Modules (4 of 4)

Our first project was to make permanent strapping for the storage and transport of modules. Each pair of modules was fitted together, top to top, and bolted together with plywood strapping to prevent damage to any of the permanent landscaping during shipping.

The smaller straight modules form an almost totally enclosed box.

The second project was a frame to protect the long Plexiglas panels during storage and transport.

A smaller frame for the short pieces on the corner modules will soon follow.

In the meantime, Bob took home the two Gilbert Siding modules to work on ballast and scenery.

When the turnouts arrived, Peter started converting the ice house module into the west end of the rail yard.
