December 7, 2021 - Meeting Summary

The San Diego S-Gaugers held the November club meeting at our clubhouse and on Zoom. Attendees were: Mike Forys, Ken Sadlock, Robert Graves, Les Smith, Scott Lewis, Dale Minard, Raulf Polichar, John Racey, Al Kiel, Don Briggs, Wes Noel, and Alex Sibbald.

Introduction of new faces / Show and Tell:

Dale Minard pointed out the new, illuminated building facades that he constructed and installed on Liberty Loop. Dale also showed us the acrylic paint pens that he purchased. Wes Noel pointed out the San Francisco Cable car that he assembled and put on display.

Treasurer's Report:

This month Bob Graves reported $453.58 from clubhouse visitor donations in November, the third highest monthly amount in our history. Bob explained why our electric bill was lower in this November than in previous years. He also explained that the outstanding electric bill we owed to the outgoing management organization was creating confusion and they wished to collect the remaining balance and close the books. The club members voted to accommodate them.

Standards Report:

Raulf Polichar disassembled and tested our overheated stockyard action car and found it to be functional although slightly warped. This was probably caused by a stuck activation button, something for us to watch out for in the future. A replacement button will be purchased.
