June 20, 2017 - Meeting Summary
The San Diego S Gaugers held the June club meeting at our clubhouse (304 on the mall map) in Grossmont Center at 10:00am. Attendees were: Alex Sibbald, Mike Forys, Robert Graves, Raulf Polichar, Dale Minard, Don Briggs and Les Smith.
Introduction of new faces / Show and Tell:
Raulf Polichar brought in a caboose to which he applied a Grossmont Central Decal and details. Mike Forys brought in a printout from The S Gaugian Magazine with interviews from MTH and Lionel concerning their S Gauge efforts. Mike also displayed two Lionel Waffle Sided Boxcars. Bob Graves showed two Brownhoist crane cars with different decal placement. Dale Minard displayed custom radii templetes available for routing flextrack.
Treasurer’s Report:
Bob Graves reported that we received $174.87 from visitor donations in May.
Standards Report:
Raulf Polichar reported that he was expecting material on Monday to build switches necessary for modular layout expansion.
Publicity Report:
Les Smith reported that he would be providing special 4th of July Junior Engineer Badges.

Bob Graves has added photos and updated calendar.
PY3.5 (station expansion):
The module is ready for gluing down the track and the station platforms are in the works. (On hold)
New Gilbert Town Modules:
Two of the three new Gilbert Town modules have been installed on the main layout and scenery has been added. Track is being installed on the third and 5th modules. The 4th Module retrofitting has been started.
S Curve Module:
The S Curve Module is ready for track and is on hold. Mike Forys reported that track layout has been determined.
Window Layout Success and Visitor Attendance:
As of 06/17/2017 the window layout button has been pushed 3,494 times since our last meeting, 60,003 times since we installed it at Grossmont Center and 94,976 times since day one. We are evaluating suggestions to celebrate the day that we hit the 100,000 mark sometime in July or August.

The next meetings will be held on Tuesday July 18, 2017 and Tuesday Aug 22, 2017. All meetings will be held at our Suite (304 on the mall map) in Grossmont Center at 10AM.
The club has decided to remain closed on Tuesday the 4th of July.
Skyboard painting is scheduled for July 20 through July 25th.
Gilbert Window layout:
The Gilbert Window layout is complete and operating. Derail issues have been addressed by running the trains in the opposite direction.

Clubhouse Construction:
Mike Forys reported that some wall painting is required in the expansion area.
Time Saver Module:
The module is 98% complete with only part of the wiring outstanding.
