On Thursday 28 November, 60 year 9 students, 7 parents and 5 staff ventured up the Ōtaki Gorge to tackle the mud run and river crossings and a beautiful bushwalk .
It was an incredible day, the mud was warm and the river refreshing. Our students did themselves proud.
The morning started off with tranquil walk through the bush, crossing a couple of swing bridges along the way. Then we hit the mud pit.
The majority of the group could not wait to dive in. Students made the most of the opportunity to tackle teachers into the mud and fire mud bombs at one another. This was finished off with a swim in the river to wash off.
We were super proud of our students and the way they conducted themselves and looked out for one another throughout the day.
Thank you to the parents who came along to help and allowed this trip to happen.
A brilliant finish to a fantastic year!
