Ōtaki College once again welcomed a group of 10 Students from Namiki school in Japan, for a 9 day stay. They appreciated the manaakitanga our staff, students and host families who were so generous and open. The students were in the capable hands of Mrs Marion Lumley for two hours every morning for English lessons and then the students had a taster of the Year 7 and 8 homerooms, their option classes and PE. The highlight of the group's stay was a formal pōwhiri on to Te Pou o Tainui Marae. The Kai Karanga and Kapa Haka group was expertly delivered by College students whose sense of pride was both humbling and amazing. There will be lasting memories for this group of students to take back home to Japan.
