To Ōtaki College,
My time as the Horowhenua School Police Officer has been short but I write this letter to let you know Ōtaki College has made an impression on me.
Every time I entered your gates my interactions with students has been positive and made me feel welcome.
This is important as I believe social skills are vital to succeed in life. Being a police officer I can not stress how important it is to be able to talk to all types of people in a warm, considerate and cooperative manner.
It not only makes my job easier but it blesses me with meeting many wonderful people.
This whanaungatanga and friendship I have been granted by your school will be remembered and I thank you for that.
I will be taking up the role as School Community Police Officer in Palmerston North, so if you are ever up that way don’t be a stranger.
Ngā mihi nui
