We've finally made it! The end of the year has arrived and. as I am writing this, we are getting ready to celebrate our students' success at the Year 9&10 and the Year 7&8 Prizegivings. Heading into the end of the year has been particularly busy as we have trialed Deep Learning at Years 7-10. The projects undertaken have been well received by students and I want to thank all of the whānau who came in recently to view these projects on our NPDL Showcase Day. We have also had the opportunity to attend the UCOL Taster Day and I am pleased that we continue to grow in strength in this relationship because it provides a number of pathways for our students to explore during and beyond College. Next year we will have up to 40 students in Secondary Tertiary Programmes, recognising that the education we provide here has to be diverse to meet the many needs of our young people.
I would like to take this opportunity to welcome our new 2024 students from contributing schools and beyond. We look forward to building a strong relationship with you all in the coming years.
In closing, I would again like to thank whānau for your ongoing support and wish you a very happy and safe festive season and New Year. I look forward to 2024 as we continue to embrace new changes to get the very best opportunities for our young people in Ōtaki.
Nau mai, haere mai,
Merry Christmas.
