At the start of the school holidays Harriet Georgetti, Haki Ropata and Logan Boyer attended Hillary Outdoors which was a week long camp that taught us about leadership and being a role model. (Keita Broughton-Alp was unfortunately unable to attend). It was an unforgettable experience that we are so grateful for having the oppurtunity to do. During our week at the camp, we participated in a variety of outdoor challenges that pushed us to grow as individuals and as a team. The activities ranged from high and low ropes courses all about team bonding to canoeing, caving through crazy spaces, tubing and hiking all around Mount Ruapehu. Each activity helped us build our leadership skills, problem-solving, and teamwork. We all found ourselves stepping out of our comfort zones. By the end of the week, we had all gained a stronger bond with each other and the other 6 people in our team who we will always stay in touch with. Thanks so much to the College, the Concrete Doctors and the XŌtaki Alumni Trust for providing us with this opportunity, which led to this amazing trip and awesome memories.
