Year 7 and 8 Epro8 Team Triumphs in Semi-Finals and Shines in Finals 

Our Year 7 and 8 Epro8 team, comprising Alice, Jeb, Deryn, and Mia, gave a fantastic performance in the recent semi-finals and finals challenges, impressing everyone with their teamwork and skills.

The semi-finals featured exciting movie-themed challenges inspired by iconic films such as Indiana Jones, Jaws, Back to the Future, and Thunderbirds. The team faced the thrilling Indiana Jones challenge, where they built a minecart to escape rolling boulders, falling snakes, and trap doors. From the very start, the team was sitting equal first, facing a tough challenge. They maintained their position for over an hour before pulling ahead with an hour left, despite fierce competition from two other teams. Their determination paid off as they held on to a lead and won the semi-finals.

The team returned to compete in the finals, the theme shifted to spies with challenges including an abseil harness, bomb disposal forklift, radio communicator, and laser security. Competing against 12 teams, our team fought hard and made it to the top 5. The competition was tough, but their effort and teamwork were outstanding.
