Schools are always busy places and our young people are often involved in many other sporting, cultural or recreational interests. It is really exciting to be able to highlight in this newsletter several of our students’ recent successes in their chosen areas of interest. I would like to personally congratulate them on their efforts and look forward to their continued contribution and successes throughout 2020.
The staff at the College would very much like to thank parents/whānau who have taken the opportunity to get their child's chromebook purchased and imaged. The delivery of education through a digital platform is a commitment that the College has made with other schools in Ōtaki as part of the Te Reanga Ipurangi Education Trust and the Manaiakalani Outreach Programme. The Learn/Create/Share model that is developed through devices is proven in its ability to accelerate learning. If you have been unable to purchase a chromebook they are available at the Student Centre for purchase or payment over time.
The Trust has negoitiated the a price of $470 for a Device Bundle that includes:
ACER Chromebook
3 Year Warranty
3 Years insurance with no excess, and a
Targus Bag
A couple of small reminders:
please do not have students wearing earrings that dangle. They are a health and safety issue and our uniform code prescribes studs or sleepers.
Our uniform code asks for black shoes without any visible logos or coloured soles.
