Hip Hop Success

Kia ora,

My journey as a member of 1 of the most famous Hip Hop Dance crews from Wellington.

During the last school holidays Megan and I had attended a Hip Hop & Contemporary Dance Academy program at the NZ School of Dance & Drama in Wellington. Thanks Whaea Tamsin.

Following this program, I took up the invitation from Ben Uili from The Company NZ to audition for a spot to join the Academy team, with an opportunity to become a member of the Paramount Crew if successful.

Not only have I not had formal training, attended weekly classes or part of a dance studio, I MADE IT IN. I just showed up with natural talent, love to dance and just give it a go attitude.

With the love and support of my parents I attend weekly Monday, Thursday and Saturday classes and competition rehearsals in Wellington.

The Company NZ, established since 2010, have attended multiple regional, national and international competitions, even achieved a silver medal at the World Hip Hop Unite Championships in Holland, 2019.
