During the last week of Term 3, the student Wellbeing and Culture councils planned a week of activities to coincide with Mental Health Awareness week. The Mental Health Foundation 5 Ways to Wellbeing - Connect, Be Active, Keep Learning, Give and Take Notice - were at the forefront of planning. There were activities on during both break times that students could participate in. These included, sumo wrestling, yoga, jump jam, rock and mural painting, Vietnamese spring rolls and a market day of shared kai.
It was a really positive week with high levels of participation from students and staff.
A mindfulness colouring competition was also held which many Year 7/8 students participated in.
The College would like to sincerely thank the NZ Asia Foundation for the funding provided to support Cultural Week.
